I wanted to thank you guys for following along or even for just stopping by to read what I have to say.
There is so much to be thankful for this year. We tend to concentrate on the things that didn’t go the way we planned for them to go… On what we could have done better, or should have done better.
The simple truth is that those things are not really important. What’s important is that we are healthy and together, that we have a warm place to live and a simple meal to eat.
The rest? The projects, the dreams… We can continue working on those tomorrow.
I was looking for a gift I could give you and came across those cute gift boxes from Botanical Interests.
I ordered three, one for myself and two for you guys.
It took about 7 business days for them to come in the mail. They come inside of a long cardbox, wrapped beautifully just like you see in the picture.
I’ll open the one that I got for myself so you can see what’s inside…
Inside each box is a collection of seven seed packets.
For myself I got the Beauty that Can Take the Heat collection.
This collection is made of seven different kinds of flowers that grow in similar conditions (hot summers). I know they will do great here in the South with our hot summers.
I can’t wait for spring so I can plant them. And not only because I want to grow the flowers but also because I want to use the seed packets. The artwork is so amazing that I can’t think about throwing the packets after planting the seeds.
I was thinking about ways to use the packets and came up with the idea to laminate the front of the packets and make my kids (and myself) botanical flash cards! (I already have this laminator) Each packet has a description of the plant and how you should grow it. I think it will be an awesome way for us to memorize different vegetables and flowers.
Botanical Interests has a lot of other amazing seed collection gift boxes and they are all priced under $20. I think this will be an awesome gift for any homesteader/gardener and if your total order is more than $40 there is no cost for shipping.
To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment bellow and tell me which is your favorite vegetable to grow. What vegetable I can be sure to find in your garden if I come to visit during the growing season. If there is a specific variety you like and a place you buy the seeds from, please include this info.
If you don’t have a garden, tell me what is the first vegetable you would grow if you had a garden.
That’s it! I am going to keep this giveaway open until Saturday 11/28 at 9pm. Then I will choose two winners randomly and email them for the address I should send the gifts
I hope you’ll have an awesome holiday season!
P.S. – If you are not already, please follow me of social media or via email. Links are on the sidebar. Thanks! And please share this giveaway so others can enter as well.
