2025 garlic planting! 1600 plants in the ground 💪💪💪
We plant in the fall (mid to end of October), it germinates and overwinters. When the weather starts to warm in the spring the garlic will start growing again.
For hard neck varieties, we harvest scapes in May, the garlic plants are harvested in June.
Two varieties this year >> Music and German Extra Hardy.

I do not like winter.
I do not like being cold.

Last winter I said f**k it! I`m installing a wood stove.
Electric heat just couldn`t keep it warm enough for me, and my electric bill reached highs that I`ve never experienced before.
It was a month-long project.
And it changed my life!

Direct planted in the middle of March (no cover needed).
>> If you have crapy soil, these radishes are great to grow! First, they’ll grow in any soil, and second, they open up the soil and break it with their strength. Many farmers grow them as cover crops (it’s an easy crop to grow on a larges scale for the benefit of the soil and feed to pigs).
These are delicious roasted, pan fried, fermented (how to ferment radish tutorial is on the blog), or pickled.
